Tabibu Africa is a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization dedicated to educating, empowering, and showing compassion to impoverished women and children of East Africa. We do this by providing clinics for basic health care, education regarding the truth about HIV/AIDS and other preventable diseases, training to improve self-confidence and self worth, small business training, and construction of schools and other needs.
~Tabibu means "to heal" in Swahili.
Through one or more annual expeditions staffed by many volunteers, Tabibu Africa works to relieve the suffering and instability of East Africa's poorest of the poor. 98-100% of all donations, monetary and supplies, go straight to East Africa wherever it is needed the most. Through Tabibu Africa, Inc we make sure that this always the case.
We recognize and affirm the unique and intrinsic worth of each individual. We treat all those we serve with compassion and kindness. We act with absolute honesty, integrity and fairness in the way we conduct our organization, the way we treat those we serve and the way we live our own lives. We trust our colleagues as valuable members of our organization and pledge to treat each person with loyalty, respect and dignity.
These are the values that we believe should not just guide us but ALL actions. These are the values that, when truly lived, have launched us forward in great humanitarian service. These are the values that, when truly lived, have made a difference in the lives of all those we served and continue to serve—and that’s why we all embraced humanitarianism to begin with, because we chose to make a difference in the lives of others.
